Prowling the Skies of Palm Springs
f
I had a smile on my face. While the skies were threatening snow and a cold wind was blowing at my shop in Park City, UT, I was preparing an AS7 to fly for a media convention at a stunning property named La Quinta Resort in the Palm Springs, CA area. Since the venues were indoors and out, I was charged with evaluating the meeting schedule and determining the most advantageous flight times to deliver the message of my client, Collective Media. I had the art printed and positioned on the airship before I left for California. The blimp banner area easily carried the (2) 3’ x 10’ signs which were essentially car wrap substrate with adhesive backing.
Faced with perfect weather, I was able to do some “invasive” flying down to arm reach level in the courtyard and outdoor restaurant area. At the meeting breaks and other outdoor activities, I was having the airship “dance” in the skies above. The property landscaping was nothing short of artistic and beautiful. I took the opportunity to take some aerial photos while on location. As you can see, the vantage was spectacular. In summary, the client was very happy and the hotel sales team was quickly trying to scheme an opportunity for me to return. They’ll get no arguments from me.
